Nelson Bustamante

Nelson has more than 25 years of international management experience with capital projects within the energy sector, including E&P, pipelines, refineries and mining. In addition, he has directed major corporate social responsibility programs to promote sustainable socio-economic development in Latin America. Previous experience includes Latin American Business Development and EHS Management for URS, Dames & Moore and El Paso Corporation.

Jonathan is a consulting engineer with more than 30 years experience in the environmental and geotechnical engineering fields within the oil and gas industry. He has held senior positions with several major consulting and engineering companies including Dames & Moore, URS and ERM. Most recently, he has focused on project siting, development and construction in a manner which integrates engineering, environmental and social issues.

Paulo Roberto Dos Santos Carvalho

Paulo Roberto brings over 21 years of experience to the Petroleum Industry. With a Doctorate of Science degree in Production Engineering, he manages offshore seismic drilling and production operations. Prior to his current position, he conducted operation audits and developed technical standards as HSE Supervisor for Texaco Brasil S.A..

Dr. Bulent Inanc
Deputy General Manager, Botas International Limited.
Dr. Inanc’s responsbilities with Botas International Limited, operator of the Turkish Section of the BTC Pipeline, include health, safety, environment and crisis management. He holds a Ph.D. from Kyoto University in Environmental Engineering, and has taught at Kyoto University, Istanbul Technical University and Marmara University. Before joining Botas International Limited, he was a Senior Researcher at the National Institute for Environmental Studies in Japan.

He has held management and equity positions at leading product and service providers in engineering and environmental risk, remedial construction, and management consulting sectors. He has successfully developed and launched two business consultancies for environmental risk management. In addition, he holds an advisory board position in a Brownfields real estate development firm.

He has provided consulting services to oil and gas, railroad, manufacturing, insurance, REIT, and government clientele. In the past few years, he has led the development and implementation of insured environmental liability transfer programs involving over 500 facilities and almost $200MM in estimated liabilities.

engineering services to both private and public sectors in Colombia, Venezuela,
Dominican Republic and Ecuador. He specializes in geotechnical surveys and
design, threat and risk assessments, environmental impact studies, and
noise monitoring. He has managed construction and operational phases of
the Termopaipa IV project, a coal-based thermal power generating system in
Colombia.
