Oranjewoud N.V. concludes acquisition of Colombia's GeoIngeniería to strengthen its international position

Gouda, January 14th, 2011 - Oranjewoud N.V. has acquired 100% of the shares in Colombian consulting and engineering firm GeoIngeniería S.A. With over 400 employees, GeoIngeniería is one of the leaders in the Colombian market for civil and environmental engineering and the installation and design of pipelines for clients in the oil, gas and mining industries.
GeoIngeniería's operations include environmental studies, geotechnics, pipeline design, and environmental, health, safety, and socio-economic aspects of consulting services to energy and oil sector projects. GeoIngeniería counts BP Exploration, EcoPetrol, Lukoil, Oiltanking, Petrominerales, Hupecol, Nexen, Petrobra and Talisman among its clients.
The acquisition of GeoIngeniería will reinforce Oranjewoud's position in the Latin American and global markets. This fits in well with Oranjewoud's strategy of further developing its service catalog for international clients.
GeoIngeniería is part of Antea Group, Oranjewoud N.V.'s international consultancy and engineering division that is operating under this name as of January 5th, 2011.
