Our EHS Global Assurance Program is predicated upon achieving operational excellence around the globe on the part of all of Inogen's Associates, and requires a systematic approach and a clear commitment to incident-free operations by all of Inogen's Leaders.

Our Foundation for meeting these goals is a management system framework which defines 12 essential elements designed to assure the consistent delivery of global EHS solutions in a safe, secure, and environmentally friendly manner. As we work toward meeting these goals we will continue to build a global culture which will guide our behavior and reinforce our commitment.

Our Global Alliance

Roles and Accountabilities

Effective implementation of this global assurance program requires active participation from all levels of management and all employees.

This element of Inogen's program defines, documents and clearly communicates how environmental, health and safety (EHS) accountabilities will be set, and how people will be held accountable for their performance.

Risk Assessment and Management

Risk assessment and management is a continuous process that includes the identification, evaluation, and control of EHS business risks associated with our operations. These EHS risks include business liabilities, regulatory compliance and client requirements.

This element will identify the means and define the processes by which risk will be assessed and effectively managed.

Environmental, Health and Safety Plans

Successful EHS performance requires the development and implementation of well-defined, written EHS plans.

This element defines the process to implement and document measures to control and/or eliminate our EHS business risks.

Training and Communication

Successful performance depends on effective communication and knowledgeable people with the skills, competencies and awareness necessary to complete their work.

This element defines how training and communication will be identified, delivered, assessed and reinforced.

Incident Management

The reporting of incidents, near misses, identification of root causes and implementation of corrective actions are key factors in preventing the recurrence of incidents and improvement of our overall program. This includes incidents involving injuries and illnesses, environmental or security.

This element allows for incident management tracking world-wide.

Contractor Management

Inogen is committed to a comprehensive contractor management program that ensures a safe work environment, client satisfaction and the control of business risk.

This program will be recognized as industry leading.

Stakeholder Awareness

Inogen will create a culture in which all stakeholders have ownership of and participate actively in our global programs. We value the importance of stakeholder awareness and will actively engage in dialogue with stakeholders to maintain their confidence and commitment to improving the program.

We will continually communicate the performance of the Inogen program to all stakeholders.

Performance Measurements and Assessment

We will continuously assess program implementation and compliance with our environmental, health and safety management system to assure that processes are in place and working effectively. This will include risk-based monitoring, audits, internal self-assessments, and appropriate external assessments.

We will use this information to improve our performance, reduce risk and further drive the continuous improvement cycle.

Documentation

We must securely manage environmental, health and safety information and make documentation readily available to stakeholders.

This element establishes the procedures for the control, approval, dissemination, withdrawal, storage and disposal of documents, data and other records.

Continuous Improvement

Inogen understands that all management systems must include a process that fosters the continuous improvement of the system.

A defined continuous improvement process must be integrated within the global assurance program to ensure the correction of program deficiencies and the ongoing improvement of our performance.

Security

We are committed to a secure working environment for our employees, clients and third party stakeholders.

To meet this commitment, we have established a security management program that provides a process to continually recognize security risks and provide systems to eliminate or control such risks.

Environment

Everyone has a part in protecting the environment in which we live and work. As environmental protection is our business, Inogen recognizes that our services have a potential environmental impact within the locations where we work.

We will recognize and evaluate our environmental impacts and continually strive to improve our environmental performance around the world.
