During April, Inogen Associates met in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, with two objectives: 1) to share collective best practice development, and 2) to look ahead to the future and the distinctive advantages that Inogen brings to clients. More than 70 Associates around the globe were in attendance; we also welcomed Terrapex, our new Associate in Canada.
Meeting topic discussions included: chemical, oil & gas, ports and rivers, and assurance segments; the Inogen Global Practitioner Platform; EHS; In-situ thermal remediation by Electrical Resistance Heating; upstream emission reduction; GPS real time monitoring and risk based assessment, among others. In addition to reinforcing our environmental alliance with their presence, our attendees identified insightful ways to introduce to our clients to Inogen's capabilities with regard to resolving legacy liabilities, as well as addressing today's requirements and delivering tomorrow's solutions.
On April 19th, our time in Rotterdam culminated with the Inogen WorldView® Conference—a day filled with stimulating discussions on best practices for managing the work around environmental and safety legislation, harbor authority and private companies. More than 120 attendees representing 60 companies from Europe, America, Asia and Oceania joined us. Themed ‘The Dutch Way', this year's conference brought together different points of view on ports and environmental topics, creating a thought-provoking day for all. Attendees delved into the commitment of the Port of Rotterdam and its stakeholders to create economic and social value, and the NICOLE organization shared its interest in facilitating the common aims in sustainable land management.
The power of cooperation was a strong message presented by Deltalinqs, a group that focuses on the creation of synergies between logistics, ports and industrial enterprises across Rotterdam harbor. Attendees also learned about the approach and methodologies that the new Dutch Environmental and Planning Act is using to reinforce the environmental program, ranging from an integrated vision to environmental permits.
Innovation was a key component of the conference agenda, and the day closed with informative and interesting workshops in which the participants shared knowledge about Oil & Gas Terminals, Beverage and Beer Plants and Fertilizer Plants.
Our time together in Rotterdam was a great opportunity to expand the knowledge, skills and expertise that the Inogen network offers with environmental, health and safety solutions. Further, it represented a key gathering of global and multinational organizations around compelling topics, making a perfect match between companies, environment and Inogen.
