In October, after six successful years, Peter Penning of Antea Group handed over the presidency baton to Paul Durkee, Senior Consultant-also with Antea Group. Paul becomes the fourth president and CEO of Inogen since its foundation in 2002.
The presidency was handed over at the annual meeting of its Associate member companies, which took place in Lisbon, Portugal. On taking the baton from Peter, Paul said "Inogen is an amazing organisation. We initially started talking about building a global organisation back in 1999 and how could we make it work. Here we are 12 years later with an extremely successful international alliance which is viable and robust with great traction of clients. Of course we want to continue and build on this success- these meetings provide us with the opportunity to ensure sustained synergies between the Inogen associates, discuss strategy and on-going projects and ensure that the Inogen global standards practices are continuously being met to exceed our clients expectations. However, it's also important for the Alliance that I visit our Associate companies on home ground and I am looking forward to seeing you all in the coming year in your respective countries."
Increasing Inogen's International presence is on the agenda for Paul in order that the Alliance can take the fight to some of the biggest players in the industry. "The more potential clients that know about Inogen's unique capabilities the better, and in particular we want to communicate its unique selling point of being both global and bespoke when it comes to winning big contracts. Our range of expertise is unmatched and our ability to tackle major projects without peer."
We welcome Paul to the role of Inogen President and look forward to the continued success of the Alliance.
