Purpose: The Icopal Group delivers high end products for flat and pitched roofing and offers a broad service range including installation services. Icopal is present throughout Europe and the US with a network of local sales and production units. Icopal has a strong environmental profile and practises recycling and minimising the use of raw materials and energy as key priorities in the development and production of roofing and waterproofing solutions. The Icopal Group is headquartered in Denmark and has an annual turnover of approximately EUR 1.2 billion. Icopal employs some 3,900 people worldwide.

The purpose of DGE's assignment was to establish a management system according to ISO 9001 and 14001, which includes ensuring legal compliance to applicable laws and methods for continuous improvements. Another important purpose was to motivate the employees to maintain and develop Icopal's various processes. The objective being to strengthen the Icopal trademark and its competitive advantage on the Swedish market.

Outline / Scope of Works:

Inogen's, DGE was appointed by Icopal AB in Malmö, Sweden in 2006, to identify and implement a process oriented management system. DGE has also been appointed as Quality, Environment and Safety Coordinator, which involves supervising and developing the management system, surveillance of legal updates, administration of chemical information, participation in product development, internal audits and training. In 2009, DGE supported the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility policies at Icopal.
